27d98837f3 Use the posix S_ISREG instead of S_IFREG if it is defined. Fixes wxFileExists 
on DJGPP where S_IFREG is defined as 0.

5de959df83 Compile fixes: gcc seems to need pbt.h including, and PBT_APMRESUMEAUTOMATIC 
isn't in the headers for most compilers (the other PBT_* macros are there).

bd2903e1c3 Another stab (hopefully the last) at how to handle the delayed 
initialization of the stock objects.  Go ahead and create an
uninitialized instance using __new__, and then just set the .this
attribute when the app is initialized.
